MK1 brochures etc
Going to shortly go through my 2000 MK1 collection and see if I have any doubles that I would be willing to trade etc. Anyone interested if I find anything? Sure I have about 6 dealership glass pin trays,about 10 MK1 presspacks etc,so might have a few items up for grabs. Over 40 years of collecting ...

It has an MB engine number,so that's interesting it has an early engine but in a facelift car?,its certainly its original engine aswell.

Thanks chaps ,its an August 68 car with horizontal spare wheel,so silver it is! I will look at the VHT paint and get started on the wheels next week when my dad drops them down. Hang on... Just looked at the car,it has a black rocker cover and air filter box,bolt in the front rocker cover fastening,...

What colour should a facelift MK1 wheel colour be?,pretty sure its silver(68 car)and if so what silver shade is closest to the original colour?

I did think you don,t use mastic etc as I fitted one years ago and don,t remember making a mess...
How do you push from the outside whilst pulling the string on the inside,that sound abit tricky?
Is it just a case of pushing it out from inside with my feet,carefully.

Rear screen seal replacement
Any tips to the best way to remove the rear screen and replace with a new seal,do I cut the old seal to get the screen out or just push from inside,do I just replace the seal and refit what mastic if any etc and is it a case of refitting using the old string/2 man jobbie.

MK2 steel wheels on a MK1
Ok so iam struggling abit to get a set of MK1 steel wheels,mostly a postage issue...
Can I ask will MK2 steel wheels when fitted to a MK1 still be able to take the original wheel embellishers and hubcaps,i know a MK1 whhel is 4.5 J and a MK2 5J.

So I managed to fit the screen trims and I can safely say I have removed 2000 engines in quicker time....
It was a real pain but I carried on and got there,many hours later.
