Update. Just had a little play. I noticed the fuse to the dis car nect had blown, so bypassed this. Hey presto, the dash lights come on. Turned the key, nothing, and the lights went out again. Hi Johnnydog. Thanks for the reply. My car is fitted with a 4:11, and a 3:7 will give me better high speed cruising, so either will do. Wanted. Differential.
I’m looking for a known good differential for my MK2 2000. 4:11 or 3:7, I don’t mind which, but it MUST be a good one please. I’ve already fitted a supposed good one, which was noisier than the one I removed!! I’m in Dorset. Thank you.

A quick check on the dvla website confirms that it is mot’d and taxed till next year, so it’s still around.
