Thanks for the replies,
I will just hammer and dolly it when I get around to the body.

Big Brakes
I was mucking about on the week end with some loose bite I had lying around. You will see form the picture: The disc is from a Saab and is 270mm and the calipers are early Toyota Hilux. In the 14" wheel all a bit too large, but I got the design for the adapter bracket worked out, Any one know the or...

Re: Crease in guard
This photo is not my car. My car has the same thing only not as pronounced.
The bumper on my car is straight but, that doesn't rule our a slight bump or the bumper being changed before I got it.
Curiouser and curiouser but a slight bump it must be I think.

Crease in guard
I have included a photo of the guard of a car for sale on line. You will see I have arrowed a crease in the drivers side front guard mid point of the wheel arch. It is a raised crease not a inward dint. My car has this also and I am wondering what might be the cause. Maybe the result of a front end ...

Gearbox filler hole.
Here is a somewhat inane question to ponder while waiting for summer to come. Sedan gearboxes are tilted over to the drivers side, so if the filler hole is in the same place as a TR6 box, because TR6 boxes sit straight up, it would take more oil until the oil came level with the hole. So are the hol...

Diff pinion height or fore/aft position
Hello all, This question was asked by Alec in October 2018, But I can't find a definitive answer. "Does anyone have the dimension or know where I might get the figure for the pinion height on a 3.45:1 saloon differential. The figure is not in the workshop manual and just refers to using the special ...

Re: Spacer Tube gearbox cross member for ‘J’ Type

Spacer Tube gearbox cross member for ‘J’ Type
Been searching this on the forum but can't find the definitive answer.
What length do I need for the Spacer Tube gearbox cross member for ‘J’ Type Overdrive.
Are they the same length as the BW65 Auto that I am swapping out?
Shorter or longer?

More on prop shafts
Now I find I have a shaft the correct length. The thing is its an early style shaft with inboard retaining clips on the unies. and doesn’t have the rubber insert at the diff end. The unies. are in good condition and are the greaseable kind. So what is the benefit of using the newer style shaft keepi...

Re: Propeller shaft length
Thanks Dave B I had since found this info.
It would appear that my BW65 shaft is around 95mm too long for the manual with the O/D.
