Re: Synthetic oil
I've been using for quite a few years now Mannol Safari 20/50 mineral, which I understood was German so supply should be easy but it's getting on for £80 per 20l now, it was one of the less expensive on ebay but it seems to be up on price with everyone else now.

Re: Bonnet Support Arm.
Hello, could you post a picture of the support arm assembly so we can see what the damage is. Corrosion and fatigue through the metal flexing are usually the main issues with the bonnet support. Mine pulled itself off the bonnet after many years so it was a case of more substantial welding when I re...

Re: diff mounting bushes
Thanks Johnny, those images are just what I needed. My parts book is for 1975 onwards and it seems difficult to get a book exactly for the year of my car. I have for now gone with Chris Witor's website pics and on test drive I can't feel anything amiss. Having said that I only drove 4 miles to Rawte...

diff mounting bushes
Hello everyone, I'm changing the diff on my mk2, PFL (Nov 1969) saloon, and I'm taking the opportunity to change the rubber mounts as well. Can anyone confirm what the correct order is for the mounts, I have bought from Rimmers 4 x thinner flat rubber discs as their website states 4 req'd all saloon...

Re: parts list
Hi Charles, I imagine they are, is the 6 cyl a stretched version of the 4 cyl, just another pair of siamesed bores added on ? If so I don't see why they would have different rockers. I used to have a 1500 fwd but apart from that I've never become familiar with the smaller engines. Regarding the push...

Re: parts list
I've made a lower offer on the mk2 list but it's rejected so I'm leaving that one, like you say -keep looking and something will turn up, it's condition was a little poor. I've not managed to resolve the rocker issue with Rimmers, they say that they sell a lot each year with no complaints and asked ...

I'll correct myself, it's still there ! Just hiding further down the page,
BTW, I've managed to order pushrods 8" off Mick Dolphin, they are certainly a rare item.
cheers,
Michael

Does anyone have a copy of the parts list for the early Mk2's, I only have the 1975 onwards book and my car is nov 69, I can see a couple on ebay but I don't know if they are too early, is this one the correct front cover ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275091170696?hash=item400cb62588:g:-jcAAOSwIchh1d...
