Bumper re-chroming.
Hi all , Just wondered if anyone has had any re-chroming done , where and at what cost , I have just had a quote for over £6oo each for the bumpers , seems a lot to me , I know you only get what you pay for but really.

£72 plus vat and postage , They said it will be tested before return , At leased I know it will be all good and obviously fit straight back on the car

15"Wheels on a MK1 2000
Planning on buying new wheels for my car , I do like the Idea of 15" minilite style alloys or I may go down the TR6 steels root. I would like them to fill out the arches a bit and so they would need to have a biggish offset . Looking at wheel sites they specify an ET number to match the car however ...

Thanks for your thoughts guys , much appreciated , I think I'm quite likely to make sure the valves are lapped in nicely with no leakage and the guides are all good new stem seals and leave it at that ,I will make a note of the additives been suggested to.

Probably this topic has come up before but is it worth the expense having the head converted to run on unleaded petrol. How well do they run on our petrol we have today ? I guess they are not running high compressions so I can't imagine them having trouble pinking but you guys that are on the road w...

Looks and I'm sure does the business on the road .Six pot Beemer sweet , nice touch to the cam cover by the way.Mine is in the paint shop at the moment (Valencia) and hope to look as good as yours when the restoration is complete , Minilite's I think are going to be my choice also love it !
