Re: Spares club/group for unobtainable parts
I understand Alan's point ref Earlpart and Mk2 wings but as someone else said (sorry can't remember who), whilst these partsa re unavailable some cars are being scrapped because they can't be repaired. In itself this means the number of potential customers is falling which means production of the wi...

Re: Woohoo
Along similar lines but not quite the same. My son in law to be has taken up racing in the BMW Compact Cup. He has now bought 4 of them! They are all late 90s early 2000s cars and are in amazing condition, well screwed together and have 5 speed gearboxes, electric seats etc. He bought 2 this last we...

Re: Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run
Being a keeper of stats for Club Triumph I can tell you that 26 big Triumphs entered and 26 finished - a real achievement for the model

Re: 2013 national
By looking at the 2012 thread I have guessed the dates will be mid to late June.
This means I won't be able to attend as my eldest daughter is getting married on June 22nd aand somehow I think that event will win out

Re: Rotating wheels
It works for both Colin. Which is why I reckon that in the past it really was worthwhile rotating tyres around the car - rear wheel drive car means rear tyres wear down quicker than the front and you can exit from a bend backwards and through a hedge:lol: Unless of course you like lots of oversteer ...

Re: Rotating wheels
As a few people know, I work for one of those tyre manufacturers and if I had read this sooner I would have advised Colin not to swap his tyres! Always keep the best/least worn at the rear for the reasons quoted above from the Michelin website. I have driven at MIRA on the "wet circle" with Fiestas ...

Re: 2013 national
OK that's fine Alan. Dates tho? I am already thinking about next year's activities and with a number of CT events, the North Yorkshire Triumph Weekend and the 10CR it would be nice to see if I can squeeze this in somewhere. I have been busy rebuilding the 2000's engine so a little drive out to Somer...

I am no expert but it sounds like an ignition/timing problem to me.
Good idea to ditch the viscous fan though.
