personally ..i've got a salisbury slipper.[plate type].one of the reasons was it came up at the right time at the right price and was right for the car...if i'm not wrong diff types of slippers work differently...like some need more torque to work than a 2000 will give..so this will narrow your choi...

clutch issue
been having a similar clutch issue to someone else on here ..can't remember who..basically have intermitant trouble engaging some times when hot sometimes when cold...have had box out and checked clutch..borg and beck and fine....checked clutch release carrier bearing and shaft bushes ..fine has bee...

Receipt.....That's basicaly what it is ..when i took my van in for MOT i got one..and yes it don't look as good in the car's history file and the lady at the PO didn't look at ittoo hard when i taxed the van next day

Nope ,sorry not going to stafford....G/F and me are going on hol...our 4th this year ..to dorset [in the saloon if the g/box is back in]..the following weekend ..so the spare pennies are going on that ...you'll get to actually see/drive the car one day don't worry

Yep ..it's me .....and that's why i put :wink: at the end ... ...so you'd know i was saying it toungue in cheek I did what they say you should never do and bought the car unseen......but it was everything you said it was need to get it rolling roaded next [ there's a good one near me that deals alot...

If anyone is thinking of doing any of these type of events ..i can highly recommend the Hughes...well run/organised..the tests are normally at good venues and are certainly fun to do..have competed twice in a herald and will/i hope be there next year in my MK1 saloon
