The large grommets used in the engine bay on a MK1, anyone know of a source for new ones?

Re: First edition of SIXappeal...

So, £9+£9+£9 = £27, plus the £2 in the waiters pocket = £29, so where is the missing £1 ?????

Re: Stand up to Cancer

Having just re-read my last post, I must apologise for sounding ever so slightly sanctimonious. I'm blaming it on not drinking, something I am now rectifying! In answer to your question Alan, some prescient person did predict that we wouldn't make the ferry, (let alone Spain), unfortunately I...

Re: Stand up to Cancer

The winner of the sweepstake? Everyone who donated to the fight against Cancer and because everyone who donated via the giving page is involved in the “Stand Up To Cancer” campaign, you should get a mention on the Channel 4 TV show on the 17th of October. You'll have to be quick to spot your name in...

Re: Stand up to Cancer

Thanks to everyone who donated to our little bit of fund-raising for the “Stand UpTo Cancer” campaign. You raised £135. https://www.justgiving.com/Andy-Borris/ And yes, the Triumph didn't make Barcelona. A idler pulley on the water pump/alternator belt stopped idling on the Friday before leaving. Th...

Re: Stand up to Cancer

With 3 sleeps before we catch the 06.00 ferry, I've “serviced” the car, I.E. pumped the tyres up, checked oil and water and that's it. Still got the rumble at tick over, the fuel gauge isn't working and the replacement temperature gauge hasn't arrived yet. So all set! Thanks to everyone who has dona...

Re: Stand up to Cancer

Thanks Alan, for both the donation and the vote of confidence in my mechanical skills!

And I guess a article for an upcoming Six Appeal will be on the cards.

Re: Stand up to Cancer

William, thanks for your fantastically generous donation and at a £1 per guess of the mileage at which we'll breakdown, you can have more then a fair few goes! I know it's a bit of daft challenge, guessing when we'll break down on our holiday, but it does have a serious side, one in three of us will...
