Re: E30 BMW brake servo..
Hmmmm. Thank you for that. I need to find my BMW servo, it is in a box somewhere after the move. Hopefully it will say on it what the diameter is. I think I would prefer long travel with feel, over wooden pedal which I have currently, but perhaps I should look again. The 2500s has very sharp brakes ...

Re: 3 series BMW brake servo..
I have stag rear brakes, Jag 4 pot fronts, and originally standard 2000 master cyl and servo, and then Sherpa master and servo. I think it is a servo rather than master cylinder problem, but unless I raid the 2500s I am not going to get hold of another Sherpa servo very easily. I understand that the...

E30 BMW brake servo..
A reasonably common 'upgrade' on the stag is to fit the BMW 3-series brake master and servo. You need to dent the inner wing to get it in. Since the brakes on my mk2 PI have never been particularly good. (They work okay, but pedal is a bit wooden) and since I acquired a BMW servo for my 'one day' st...

Re: Car inspection
Ah, I wondered if it might be that one! Looks like some serious metalwork needed! Or certainly in the front footwell / sill area!
I am not as familiar with Mk1's so maybe there is a more suitable expert locally? The trailer is available though...

retro fit hazard flashers
After a unfortunately placed breakdown recently I was relieved to have hazard flashers on the V8 saloon. My PI, the estate and the most recent acquisition do not have hazards, so what is the best way to fit them? Is it possible to replicate the factory system, or best just add an auxiliary switch? E...

Re: 2500S mod
Might you fall foul of the MOT emissions regulations if correctly applied? I thought PI was dropped as it wasn't clean enough? You might struggle to get an MOT on a late car with PI, if your MOT tester applies the rules correctly?
Others have done it without issue so it is possible.

Heater hoses
After fitting efi (v8) I am trying to re-plumb the cooling system to eliminate poor heater and air locks. Whilst I guess it doesn't really matter, can anyone confirm which heater pipe should be the supply and which the return. Does the heater valve (MK2) prevent hot water entering the matrix, or sto...
