Re: New Wheels
Like Wild Bill, I have got a period set of old cosmics, except they are rare 15" x 7".so I have shod them with 205 x 60 tyres. Re: SAH rocker cover
They are also good for anyone who wants to put a bling rocker cover on their Spit6/GT6 as there can be bonnet clearance issues sometimes if you use the more square TR6/2500 alloy rocker cover...

Re: Nee-naaah, nee-naaah, nee-naaah!
When I was a young copper I asked that very question about why the traffic cars had no hubcaps (in them days it was the Vauxhall Senators) and I was told it was to do with the wheel trim rubbing against the valves and eventually sawing through them - so there may be some truth in it, bearing in mind...

Thank you Gents- 7/16 UNF as stated. I bought the correct union and viola! It fitted! I had been trying to fit a union which was the same size but with a much finer thread thinking it was 7/16 UNF Amazing how it all goes together easily when you use the right bits...

Re: clutch slave cylinder thread size...
Yes Alan, still got my 2500 - the bad news is it's developed a dreadful crank end float (so big is the movement I fear one of the thrust washers has dropped out) The good news is I have a spare engine waiting to go into it (that is tuned to c.150bhp  ) although what with me working on Mrs S...
