FWIW over here (New Zealand) it's illegal to run DRL's with park lights/headlights on.

I wouldn't run it without some form of corrosion inhibitor/antifreeze even for a short time. We don't need it over here also but I 've seen some horrible messes in cooling systems that have run on straight water. :oops:

You've done the basics right. Now a bit of fine tuning. Wind the idle down till its right.If you can lay your hands on a carb balancer all well and good , if not use the lifting pins . I'm like Johnny Dog. I tighten mine until I feel a "click' in my head and then stop. Never had a problem with mine coming loose. It's all about 'feel'. :shock: :shock:

Sounds like universal joints to me. That or loose drive shaft bolts.

I would have thought that an HS6 is an HS6 irrespective of the numbers. Take the needles out and check the numbers on them. If you have eyes like mine you may need a magnifying glass. If they are the same have a look at 'Minty Lamb ' on the web . When I had fuelling problems on my S a couple of year...

It's a rubber or plastic bush It's listed in Rimmers catalogue. A bit of a bastard to fit though. Get the plastic one.

I''d had thought that you should have 12 volts when cranking and 8 volts when running. Have you transposed some wires :shock:
