Re: Supercharging the 2500 Saloon
I'm sure I read something somewhere about turbo or supercharging a big six. Think they were planning on using MG Metro Turbo carbs, can't remember much more. Interesting project, I look forward to reading about it. I'm sure I read something somewhere about turbo or supercharging a big six. Think th...

Re: Important, check your nuts!
When I had my 1275 mini I was round a freinds house checking the timing and tune of the carb. We would set it up, give it a quick spin round the block, mostly in 1st as I was looknig to improve the pickup. Anyway did that a couple of times and on the third time round got stopped and given an attempt...

Re: back to the fold
Sounds like the one mate. TBH i think it may be more cash than I wanted to part with, but I am reserving judgement. he did mention the pump up towing system and I knwo through a freind he is in to his minis. Frankly I think my mate wants me to go and look just so he can come along and have a butcher...

Re: back to the fold
Man o/d mk1 in nice condition with minilites has to be worth £2k+ nowadays, the days of good cheap mk1s are long gone mike Colin. I disagree partly, forinstance theres a mk1 on the site here for £1600. And fleBay suggests 12-1500 for ok roadgoing cars, rising with condition, in fact mk2's are start...

back to the fold
Going to look at a mk1 local to me on Saturday.
whats the going rate at the mo for tidy on the road mk1's?
could do with a paint but is very solid, i.e just chips ect spoiling it.
Dont want to give too much away at the moment. however it has minilites and a man od box, and is a lovely blue.

Your not gonna "blow it" are you?
Just remember you want an S (8.5:1) or a USA spec (7.5:1) head to prevent it blowing up!
