Re: MK1 Pre facelift or facelift?

With regard to the instrument lighting, things will be much improved if you change the bulb holders for ones fitted with T5 (capless) bulbs. These are 5w, compared with 2w on the screw type bulbs. Also, I can't remember if the Mk1 had a rheostat for the dash lights, but I would consider bypassing it...

Re: Straight Six Engine Animation

I notice the sump drain plug is on the front, is this usual for a TR6 engine?
Wouldn't work for me, oil change with the front wheels on ramps is the way I do it!

Lloyd is doing sterling work reproducing previously unobtainable panels/repair sections.
Thankfully neither of my two need any yet, but I would go here first if they did.

Re: Rear handbrake cable removal

No you can't remove the tubes, you need to remove the adjustable clevis & nut from the threaded end of the cable and, starting on the nearside, push the cable through the tube, then around the compensator (horseshoe), then back through offside tube. PS, Before you refit the cable, clean out the tube...

Here's a pic of one of mine, but with 195/60/15 tyres on Minilite replicas. They are a bit of a 'snug' fit inside the rear wheel arches, but I've never had any issues with them.

Re: Heated front windscreen

I seem to recall Ted Taylor had, or was having, a batch of about ten made a few years ago. He may know of one that's going spare somewhere, I would say that's the best place to start. Sorry I have no contact details, and he rarely comes on here these days, you may find him on the Club Triumph forum.
