Had this same issue last week. I've a digital voltmeter that goes in the 12v plug and it has been reading up to 18.8v! A long time since I towed a van with a mk1, but both my current mk2's have estate rear springs fitted which considerably improve the stance of the car with a van on the back, and keep it at normal height when it hasn't. Charles, the BW35 prop has a splined shaft at one end, the BW65 prop has a flange at both ends!
