You may also a get a response on Facebook if that's your type of thing. Don't use it myself but a lot of members/owners do.

Re: Propeller shaft length

Charles, the BW35 prop has a splined shaft at one end, the BW65 prop has a flange at both ends!

Re: MK1 front brake differences

0.350" & 0.500" refer to the front brake disc thickness. Early Mk1 had 0.350" discs, later mk1 & all Mk2 have 0.500" discs. Not sure of the change over date but probably an Aug '68 would have 0.500" discs, but I could be wrong. Simple enough to measure though.

Re: Top Front Panel Wanted

The two parts listed in the parts book look to be the upper exterior panel (ie between the front wings, just in front of the bonnet, plus the bonnet mounting panel which is the badly corroded bit in your first post.

Re: Top Front Panel Wanted

According to my 1974 parts book the p/n is 575893 and comes in two pieces, bonnet mounting & front upper panel assembly. Unfortunately none of the usual suspects list them apart from Chris Witor who is out of stock at the moment. Whether they are on Lloyd Reed's list of remanufactured panels, I'm no...

Re: Mk 2 saloon towbar WANTED

Not a Mk2 one, John, but there's an unused towbar for a Mk1 on ebay which must be a bit of a rarity these days!

Re: Old misfire - again

Clifford, I notice in your last post, referring to parts replaced, you have not tried a different rotor arm. I appreciate that you say you have a 'red' rotor arm fitted, but there could be a chance that it is a 'rogue' one that is faulty. Both my cars have had issues like yours in the past with both...

Re: Choke cable

There are two different types of choke cable fitted to our cars according to (I guess) the year of production. One type has a removable knob, held on to the ferrule on the inner cable by a small spring loaded plunger. The other type has a fixed knob on the inner cable ferrule. Whichever type you hav...
