Somewhere in my addled brain, do I recall an article in the Register magazine of someone converting their manual steering 2000 to electric power? Or am I hallucinating (again)?
If the the little grey cells are firing alright, does anyone recall the name of the company that did the work?

Re: Stromberg / SU adapter
TR7 inlet manifolds were originally designed for Strombergs but Triumph later fitted SUs by fitting a hard rubber adaptor plate. From memory they are 1.75” diameter, so might not fit a manifold that started with 1.5” SUs. I have a TR7 manifold in the garage, I’ll measure it and take some pics over t...

Re: Cylinder Head inlet tract dimensions.
Follow-up question has anyone measured the length of the inlet tract in the cylinder head, from the manifold face to the inlet valve seat. If you are wondering why I’m asking all the strange questions, I’m trying to workout the optimal length for an inlet manifold. There are calculators available, b...

Re: Cylinder Head inlet tract dimensions.
Thanks yes that would confirm the Group 1 Homologation papers, as they originally related to the Mk1 2.5 PI.

Re: Cylinder Head inlet tract dimensions.
A bit of research on the FIA’s homologation papers shows 1.25” diameter, but as it’s at an angle (9.5 degrees) the opening is slightly larger.

Cylinder Head inlet tract dimensions.
Can anyone supply me with the dimensions of the inlet tract at the inlet manifold face please? I can see from pictures online that it’s pretty much circular, but what diameter is a 219016 inlet tract please?

Re: Engine Identification - Help Needed
'UKC' was a common part number for later (facelift) models. UKC 0560 is a valid Triumph number for a short 2500 engine. Looks like you have a factory reconditioned late 2500 engine block there! Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I am now the owner of said car with the UKC560 engine number and the ...
