I have to say i love my auto Triumphs and have three. A Dolly 1850, a 2500S and a Stag :D Properly set up they are not clunky and slow as the kickdown should work. I am a bit biased as i need auto's due to having spinal surgery which has left my clutch leg not functioning right. :( It was a bit sad ...

Hi John, As well as a Dolomite 1850, i also have a 2500S auto :D So you are looking for the right mix of car's. It took me ages to find one as i need an automatic. Have you looked on the car and classic for sale website? They do come up sometimes as mine did :D Have you put a post on the TDC website...

So long as nice and shiny surface? The lip can be sanded or ground off. You will probably find it is mostly rust anyway :D

If i might add, Dont rely on the pressing the pedal to adjust the brakes..... They never worked from new :( Adjust them by hand by putting a flat screwdriver between the cyl and the shoe with the adjuster and twist one click at a time and try the drum on each time, also press the footbrake after eve...
