Blog Update
It's been a long time, but now I no longer have the pressures of magazine deadlines to keep me awake (just publisher's deadlines for books!), I've started updating my blog. A lot of it is general and travel related, but there is still some classic car related stuff in it. https://kevinwarrington.blo...

Re: Cloth seat material
Unfortunately, he has closed down. He worked from a number of temporary premises close to Bishops' Waltham in Hampshire and at one time was called "Seats Galore". Peopel often thought that he sold parts for Spanish cars now built by VW. I do recall that there were 2 colours definitely available at t...

Re: Cloth seat material
Nylon covers come up on places like ebay from time to time. When I needed to get a seat in my car, which I no longer have, recovered I purchased a rear seat cushion cover and the upholsterer that I used was able to get the material from this. The upholsterer told me at the time that he had recently ...

Re: You can never be TOO organised!!!
it seems to work in reverse as well sometimes. I find parts for vehicles that I have never owned. Like a windscreen wiper motor for a Leyland Atlantean bus, for example...

Re: Estate Numbers Left
I would say that it is impossible to get even close to an exact number. The web site howmanyleft makes a start, but this relies on the DVLA data, which is also accessible to anyone with a bit of digging. This will show how many cars are recorded based on the inputs defined, so you can put "TRIUMPH" ...

Offer on Facebook page
I know some Forum members don't embrace Facebook, so I'll add the information here. This morning there was a message from someone in Spain who is offering a MK1 engine block and head for free. It is a MC series engine number. Packaging and freight are not included and the engine is located in Madrid...

Re: Inertia switch for PI fuel cutoff
Several years ago, I hunted high and low to find a replacement for the inertia switch on my TR6. The one fitted was cosmetically clean, but intermittent in operation, despite being cleaned. Eventually, I was able to locate a replacement from a trader on ebay who dealt in Stag parts (I don't know why...

Re: Sales Brochures
The ones on flickr come up with a Google search, but most unfortunately are too small for reproduction. I think I have a representative sample either here on on there way - thanks to all for your help. It takes about 2 or 3 hours per brochure to get the quality of scan needed, so it is a slow proces...

Re: Front Seats
I might have posted this before in the past (I can't remember). I was speaking to an upholsterer years ago who did some work for me and who had recently at the time done a complete retrim on a Dolomite with brushed nylon seats. These were in the chocolate brown colour, rather than tan and as he expl...
