Re: Hazards and indicators
Its nice that the electronic flasher units click instead of beeping, say, the old ones only clicked because they had to as the bimetallic strip clicked the contacts in and out. Now we are so used to that, the electronic ones have to replicate it.

Re: Overdrive column switch - parts interchange?
Afraid I bracketed a metal toggle switch on the gear lever on both TR (retrofitted OD, so had no stalk switch and new ones weren't around at the time) and 2000 - had been built OD, then someone converted it to auto, I changed it back as the automatic box was faulty, and the gearknob switch that was ...

Re: Mk2 2500 floor grommets
I was under the impression they were to let paint run out when the shells were dipped, though that doesn't explain the addition of such large ones.

Re: 2500TC 1974
Looks good! Just been inventing bits for front valence corners myself. Much beating with a hammer to make a compound curve.... Re your earlier work on mounting point for arm from base of front struts - mine collapsed once when I curbed it on ice, but it was a bit rotten.... If these aren't in the ri...

Re: Police Cars
Someone I know quite well realised I had 2 Triumphs, so revealed he drove 2.5PIs when in the Police, I will interrogate him more when I next see him (didn't have long, I was train driver he was guard, we were due away (Heritage Railway)) - but he did say :- - that independent rear suspension, you co...

Re: panel remanufacture 2015
OK thanks - this bit was something that Earlpart used to keep, and the rest of it is OK, so I'll see what I can fabricate first. I've fitted full arches to it previously, and repaired the inners, but didn't finish the car, and this area has suffered in storage outside under a sheet for 15 years. I d...

Re: Coil temperature
The trouble with being doo-lally is that I can see fuzzy pictures in my mind of pottery type ballast blocks and another with something wired in before the LT spade. The problem is I can't remember when and which car the fuzzies relate to. My present car seems to be fitted with a 12v coil but I cann...

Re: panel remanufacture 2015
I'm newish to this - picking up a restoration - though that might be too strong a word for it - I was last at in 2000 when there were more repair panels around. Does anyone know if any front wing wheelarch lower rear repair panels are around anywhere? I see Lloyd has listed full wheelarches in those...
