My 2000TC 1978 has developed a miss, starts ok but under normal running has a strong miss - just started all of a sudden when I was going up a hill. Had an electronic ignition put in 6 months ago - could it be that? What order should I check it out? Should I change the leads and spark plugs first?
A mechanic has suggested a 'drop in' as opposed to a kit, if that makes sense. Can anyone suggest a brand for that. I noticed there is a Chinese brand called Sherryberg that has one available but a bit nervous about putting an unknown brand in my car.
Sorry if this has been covered somewhere in the forum before (couldn't find it)- I want to change to electronic ignition. I can get hold of a Petronix system in NZ, is there better or is that system ok? I have a 2000TC, 1978, manual.

I replaced a faulty headlight switch with one I purchased from Rimmers. Upon installation the shaft of the switch is too long and the off / park / full label doesn't line up with the position indicator. Have I purchased the wrong part? It stated it was for a 2000 TC.
