Re: Stromberg CD150 issues
I had to replace brand new needle valves as the new ones kept jamming ans flooding - I complained to Burlen and sent me ones with mesh filters and a different pin design and seem much better design and less likely to stick. They said they had no complaints\returns on the original type, which I find ...

25D6 Dizzy Options
I noticed that the metal plate the points attached to has quite a lot of play in it and the advance spring is pulling it down at an angle and pushing it flat impacts the points gap. I popped into Rob Sport International for some bits and mentioned some of the issues I'm having and were very helpful,...

Re: What battery size?
Not sure if its the same as a 2500TC but I've just put a Varta E12 096R in my 2000 MK2. Was a little tight but much higher rating. Might be worth measuring your space. Cheapest place was Tayna and very quick del. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Varta-E12-Blue-Dynamic-Heavy-Duty-096R-Car-Battery-Chrysler-J...

Colour Change
Hi All, so my 1972 MK2 2000 is currently Honeysuckle, it needs some body work and has even been hand painted in places!
So will do a respray, but should I keep the same colour or change it to another? Will it affect any future resell interest \ price? Is there a desirable colour to have?
Thanks

Re: Help!! 2000 Mk2 Newbie
OK, so spent yesterday degreasing the engine bay and underneath. Today in the process of removing the pulley to do the timing chain felt play in the crankshaft. Dropped the suspension and took the sump off and had a look, so using the feeler gauges measure .95mm taken at the clutch end as shown in t...

Thanks all, I went for the uniroyal ones from the place Clifford posted, as CW said they were good, oh and they were cheap!

Thanks for the info, oil ordered.
Next question on brake\clutch fluid, assume DOT 3 or 4 is OK and if so can be synthetic (some places list as synthetic, other doesn't say either way)? TIA
