Re: Looking for the online version of Six Appeal
That is interesting to read. I had thought it had died years ago and been replaced with things like InDesign and the rest of the Adobe product range. It's certainly the case that InDesign overtook XPress to become the market leader by quite a large margin quite a few years ago now, but Quark are st...

Re: Looking for the online version of Six Appeal
but unfortunately, Quark is now obsolete and is one of the few data formats that just cannot be sensibly interpreted by anything else, so we can't do much with those. I wonder why I keep them, actually... Presumably these will be QuarkXPress files? QuarkXPress is still very much alive and kicking, ...

Re: Maintenance Guides
Someone with better OCR software might do better. No - not really. While it's not my day job, this is something I am very involved in with my "other" job (typesetting, OCR, image scanning - all sorts of (freelance) prepress work for both traditional book and eBook/ePub publishers). OCR is only real...

Re: 2500S Wheels for sale
That's one Register member bidding on them now
Just a holding bid for the time being so that they're in my bidding list and won't foget about them closer to the end of the auction

Re: Inner Wheel Arch Repair Panels.
I take it you're aware of the inner wheel arch repair sections that Rimmers do? I got a pair in their New Year sale (VAT free prices) which cost me £64 each -- but they have gone up since then and when you add on the VAT... I haven't had an opportunity to check them out properly yet (long st...

Re: Logged out
I see the same thing here with my work PC. Randomly find myelf logged off and have to log back in again. It was OK until the PC was upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise/IE 8. It didn't happen once when the PC was running XP. I have a suspicion that it's something to do with the way Win7/IE8 are set up t...
