Sounds like fluid escaping past the main master cylinder seal to me. That is why you are not loosing any fluid. Try a new seal kit and inspect the cylinder bore for scouring.

Isn't the ballast resistor on a 'S' incorporated in the wiring loom, instead being seperate like earlier models? Unless Australian models were different...? Most Dolomite wheels have Dolomite on the centre. Only very very late wheels have the Triumph emblem.

You can leave the gear knob on, and feed the trim pad through the aperture in the console I think!

Pretty straight forward, just a bit of a bind removing the knobs. Also the set screws have been in a long time and I have had some completely seized into the floor pan.
