Re: J Type wiring

Referring to post #2, lift the trim panel around the gearlever and check the wire in there.

This is where mine went - much easier to fix than crawling under the car so I would try that first.

Re: Old misfire - again

What rotor arm do you have? A proper red one with moulded connection?

The riveted ones can cause problems as they heat up (hence the 15-20 minutes?) and then track to earth down cracks in the plastic.

Re: Front windscreen

My only comment would be to suggest that next time(!) the camera is rotated 90 degrees (ie landscape).

Re: Thermostat housing - with temp sensor port

Is it not better to measure the temperature on the engine side?

Say the thermostat fails closed, measuring on the water side would not give any indication of overheating until steam appears, whereas on the engine side the temperature would be monitored throughout.

Re: DRLs

I will be upgrading with a normally closed relay which will open when the sidelights are on.

Just have to await delivery from China..........

DRLs

When I upgraded my lights to halogen a few years ago, I just didn't wire up the additional sidelights so they were redundant. I have a trip to Holland coming up, so I decided to wire these as DRLs. Teeing off the back of the voltmeter, I wired through the lights and added LEDs. Below is the result (...

HRW illuminated switch bulb

Hi Chaps

Anyone know which bulb fits into the HRW switch? Mine has been missing for the 8 years I have owned the car and I would like to fit one.

Cheers
