the angle drive was used on many different car marqures it was made by smiths and used all over the place one thing thats left out , is the must be a washer between the gbox and the drive to make some endfloat rimmers will not offer warranty if this is not fitted cant find it but this was subject on...

you can modify a longer mk2 shaft to fit with the orig MK1 pedestals , it needs shortening and instead of the mk1 collar and splitpin end cap, tap the oil way and fit a setcrew and washer did this on my 1600 and 10 years on still going afaik.

theres other posts about the trials and tribulations of door seals that dont fit i used C O Baines SRS 071 runs rounds the door channel in five minutes ., use a little soft soap to lube. you may wish to use a different section , a slightly deeper seal would be my second choice its getting the Tee se...

if its a J type there is inside the end of the solenoid a small 10mm circlip, this when removed releases the spool inside , this is the bit that sticks , most O rings seal the outer body you need a 1"AF thin wall spanner to undo the sol. dont wrench it off with grips on the body you can wreck it eas...

With 14"wheels I found stag fronts were well cheaper than 2000 mk2
so she has stag disc and calipers but std rears apart from the stag hand brake shoe spreader

just looked in my SU manual and it shows all the numbers for every car but not the numbers for main body or the top piston cover ...sorry
