Re: Windscreen trim
I suspect John, your chap in Manchester would not want to travel 250 miles to Torquay to fit my stainless trims!.I'm happy with the job i've done replacing the seal, appears to be water tight, its just the tool..,if anyone has a suitable item that i could borrow, happy to cover all postage costs, cheer...

Re: Coil temperature
From my experience the coil should never be too hot to handle, on my modified mk1 I've moved it to the strut turret here it gets good air circulation and is away from the block, before you ask,the battery has been relocated to the boot.
No doubting heat is the coils biggest enemy,

Re: Tyres
Vredestein 185/70/15 work well, with 6 inch rim you 195/65 is possible, any wider may cause clearance issues etc,

HS6 carbs x2, with inlet manifold and pipework, ready to fit
As per heading, a set in good working condition when removed from my 2.5 engine approx 6 months back and have been carefully stored since. £350 + postage costs, ideally buyer would collect in person. Good saving on new.
PM me if interested,
